This Privacy Policy explains how Deni Andonov (an individual/natural person), operating the “Daily Events” automated info-structure (the “Service“), collects, uses, and protects your personal data. It is a legal document that supplements our Terms of Service. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described herein.


1. Data Controller & Contact

The controller of your personal data under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

2. Data We Collect & Why (Legal Basis)

We adhere to a minimalist data principle. The table below details what we collect, for what purpose, and the legal basis that permits us to do so under GDPR.

3. Data Sharing (Data Processors)

We use trusted third-party service providers who act as Data Processors and only process your data on our behalf under strict contractual obligations:

  • Gumroad, Inc. – Our official Merchant of Record (MoR) and payment processor. They handle all payment transactions, taxes, and refunds. We never see your full payment card details. (See Gumroad’s Privacy Policy).
  • Private Hosting – Provides the server infrastructure where the Service operates.
  • WordPress as CMS – The platform used to manage the website and user accounts.

4. International Data Transfers

Our processors (like Gumroad or our hosting provider) may store and process data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). In such cases, we ensure transfers are governed by appropriate safeguards like the EU Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

5. Data Retention Periods

We retain your personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes stated, or as required by law.

  • Account & Configuration Data: Retained while your account is active. Upon cancellation, data is deactivated but may be kept in archived/backup systems for up to 5 years to comply with legal obligations (accounting, tax, dispute resolution).
  • Technical Logs: Retained for a maximum of 90 days for security and troubleshooting purposes.

6. Your Data Subject Rights (GDPR)

You have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of Access: To request a copy of your data.
  • Right to Rectification: To correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Right to Erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”): To request deletion of your data under certain conditions.
  • Right to Restriction of Processing: To temporarily halt the processing of your data.
  • Right to Data Portability: To receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Right to Object: To object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
  • Right to Withdraw Consent: Where processing is based on consent (e.g., for certain cookies), you can withdraw it at any time.

How to Exercise Your Rights: To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at contact@dailyevents.news. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (for North Macedonia: Agency for Personal Data Protection).

7. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures (such as encryption, access controls, and regular security reviews) to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you are a parent/guardian and believe your child has provided us with data, please contact us to have it removed.

9. Cookies & Similar Technologies

We use necessary cookies for the core functionality of the Service (e.g., user session). Any use of analytical or other non-essential cookies requires your explicit prior consent. For full details, please see our separate Cookies Policy.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. The “Last Updated” date at the top will reflect changes. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a prominent notice on our website.
