Artem Cherdyntsev, a 26-year-old rapper known as Flubba, has died in Ekaterinburg. His death follows a brief coma.

Cherdyntsev’s relatives announced on June 14 that he had fallen into a coma. He passed away in the hospital three days later. The cause of his sudden health decline has not been disclosed.

“How sad it is to lose an only child, a beloved husband and a good friend,” his wife shared. “Unfortunately, a person cannot simply be returned…I still just don’t believe it.”

From a musical family, Cherdyntsev’s mother is a teacher and accompanist. He played the saxophone in an ensemble during his childhood. He began recording hip-hop tracks under the name Flubba seven years ago and performed in concerts.

“I still can’t believe that you are no longer alive,” a friend posted on social media. “I miss you so much, brother…Rest in peace, Legend!”

Cherdyntsev’s funeral service was held on June 20 in Ekaterinburg. Cremation and burial are scheduled for June 25.
