Yellow Weather Warning Issued for St. Petersburg Due to Strong Wind, Heavy Rain, and Thunderstorms

St. Petersburg is under a yellow weather warning, effective from 12:00 to 20:00 on June 3rd, due to anticipated severe weather conditions. The warning, announced on the city government website on June 2nd, highlights the potential for strong winds, heavy precipitation, and thunderstorms.

The Roshydrometcenter forecasts heavy rain that could intensify into downpours accompanied by thunderstorms. During these storms, wind gusts are expected to reach speeds of up to 18 meters per second.

Authorities are urging both drivers and pedestrians to exercise extreme caution during this period of inclement weather.

While the city braces for storms, daytime temperatures on June 3rd are expected to range from +16 to +17 degrees Celsius. Nighttime temperatures will be cooler, dropping to between 9 and 11 degrees Celsius.

Unfortunately, the current weather pattern indicates a continued spell of rainy conditions throughout the week in St. Petersburg.
