Yekaterinburg Residents Seek Refuge from Scorching Heat at City Pools and Thermal Springs

Yekaterinburg residents are seeking relief from the intense heatwave gripping the city, with temperatures soaring to +30 degrees Celsius. Many are turning to local pools and thermal springs to escape the unbearable stuffiness.

Several locations in and around Yekaterinburg offer opportunities to cool off, each with its own unique features and pricing.

“Baden-Baden” in Uktus remains a popular choice, despite regular queues. It features a 500-square-meter outdoor pool, five thermal pools, a SPA, and a bath complex. Weekday prices range from 1400 to 3500 rubles for adults, while weekend prices range from 1900 to 4000 rubles.

“Shartash Beach” provides a more budget-friendly option. Open from 10:00 to 20:00, it has three swimming pools, a movie screen for in-water viewing, changing rooms, showers, and a sauna. Entrance fees are 1500 rubles for adults on weekdays and 2000 rubles on weekends and holidays.

The “Sky infinity pool” at the “Vysotsky” skyscraper offers a unique experience with panoramic city views. It includes three saunas and a wood-fired bath. Weekday access costs 3000 rubles for 2 hours, with evening swimming available for 4500 rubles.

“Limpopo” water park is a family-friendly option with outdoor and indoor slides, a wave pool, and a lazy river. Due to summer vacations, weekend rates are in effect all summer. Unlimited passes cost 3150 rubles for adults and children over 146 centimeters.

“Cuba-Cuba” on Verkh-Isetsky Pond offers a sandy beach with sun loungers, a thermal pool, saunas, and evening parties. Thermal pool access costs 1500 rubles on weekdays and 2000 rubles on weekends for those over 15 years old.

“Yuga” thermal complex has prepared for the summer season and is opening a new giant beach. Prices vary depending on the duration of stay, with 2-hour adult passes costing 2100 rubles.

The Ramada Hotel has a SPA center with an outdoor thermal pool, jacuzzi, Finnish sauna, and Turkish hammam. Weekday access costs 2300 rubles for 2 hours, while weekend access costs 2900 rubles for 4 hours.

Swimming in natural bodies of water is prohibited in several locations, including Lake Shartash and Verkh-Isetskoye Reservoir, due to safety concerns.

The first stage of “Badenland,” a large resort on the site of the KomsoMOLL shopping center, is expected to launch this year.
