A 22-year-old woman, Alena Vasilyeva, has been placed in custody by the Smolninsky Court in St. Petersburg on suspicion of hooliganism. The incident involves the desecration of her own passport, which she allegedly urinated on while filming the act.

The United Press Service of the St. Petersburg Courts has confirmed the detention, clarifying that Vasilyeva has not yet been formally charged with a crime.

Olga Bryntseva, a friend of Vasilyeva, who allegedly acted as the cameraman during the incident, was previously sent to a pre-trial detention center by the same court.

According to the investigation, the incident occurred near the “Alexander Nevsky Square” metro station on Border Guard Day. Vasilyeva is accused of urinating on her passport while Bryntseva filmed the act.

Bryntseva admitted during her arrest that she decided to upload the video to the Internet.
