A new audio guide tour, “Discover the Classics with VTB,” highlights seven of St. Petersburg’s most famous cultural landmarks, offering a narrated experience by renowned actors. The tour, supported by VTB, aims to showcase both well-known and lesser-known cultural gems in the city.
The audio tour includes the Radio House, the Shostakovich Philharmonic Hall, the Russian Museum (Mikhailovsky Palace), the Hermitage, the Sheremetev Palace, the Mariinsky Theatre, and the Directorate of Imperial Theatres.
The project aims to enhance the experience of residents and visitors alike. The audio guide also sheds light on locations such as Radio House, currently undergoing restoration by VTB and home to Teodor Currentzis’s musicAeterna orchestra. Other featured sites include the Sheremetev Palace, a former “diplomatic” club, and the Directorate of Imperial Theatres, considered the birthplace of Russian theater.
The audio guide is available in both Russian and English, ensuring accessibility for a broad audience. The audio tour is easily accessible as a large QR code geoglyph in a field visible from airplanes approaching St. Petersburg. The QR code is also available at train stations, the airport, on billboards, and at SPIEF-2025 locations.
Natalya Kochneva, Senior Vice President of VTB, emphasized the bank’s commitment to supporting cultural projects in St. Petersburg. She expressed hope that the audio guide will enhance summer walks, particularly during the White Nights season.
