The creation of the song “Two Stars” is traced back to an article by Mikhail Sadchikov Sr., who named both Alla Pugacheva and Vladimir Kuzmin as the “Stars of the Year” in the newspaper “Smena.” Igor Nikolaev, inspired by this, composed the famous duet.

Kuzmin confirmed in 2019 that the song’s origin stemmed from the “Smena” article written by Sadchikov’s father. This confirmation validates the story that the journalist’s father played a pivotal role in the song’s creation through his recognition of Pugacheva and Kuzmin as top artists.
