Vladimir Kuzmin Remains Creatively Vibrant at 70

Vladimir Kuzmin, the celebrated rock musician, continues to captivate audiences with frequent concerts and a dedication to maintaining his musical prowess despite reaching his 70th birthday. He still performs 10-15 concerts a month.

The legendary duet “Two Stars” became a national hit. The song will be 40 years old in 2026.

Despite his age, Kuzmin dedicates 5-7 hours daily to honing his skills in the studio, focusing on technique rather than writing new material.

Kuzmin tours extensively with his band “Dynamik,” performing beloved hits such as “Call Me in the Middle of the Night,” “My Love,” “Tale of My Life,” and “Siberian Frosts,” alongside the iconic “Two Stars.”

The story of the song “Two Stars” involves Mikhail Sadchikov Sr., a journalist who recognized Alla Pugacheva and Vladimir Kuzmin as the top artists of the year in the newspaper “Smena” in 1985.

Igor Nikolaev, inspired by Sadchikov’s article, composed the song “Two Stars, Two Bright Tales,” which was then performed by Pugacheva and Kuzmin.

According to Mikhail Sadchikov Jr., Alla Pugacheva even offered Sadchikov Sr. to write the book “My Life in the Work of Pugacheva.”
