The “Bear” fountain in Pervomaisky Square, Novosibirsk, is experiencing operational disruptions due to vandalism, specifically the tampering with and twisting of its nozzles. This interference is negatively impacting the fountain’s performance, leading to reduced water pressure and erratic spraying patterns.

The Novosibirsk city administration reports that unauthorized individuals are altering the position of the fountain’s equipment nozzles at night. These acts of vandalism necessitate frequent readjustments by specialists from “Gorzelenkhoz,” the organization responsible for the fountain’s maintenance.

The constant need for readjustments places a burden on the maintenance organization. Prompt adjustments to the jets and pressure are required to maintain the fountain’s functionality in light of the ongoing interference.

A resident, Alexander, noted that the fountain is not working at full capacity, with weak water pressure and inconsistent jets, highlighting the visible effects of the vandalism.
