A “Khachapuri and Wine” restaurant in St. Petersburg suffered vandalism damage, with the owners estimating the cost at 1 million rubles. The incident occurred on the night of June 15-16.

Restaurant staff discovered broken windows and overturned flower beds upon arriving at work Monday morning. Surveillance footage revealed a man vandalizing the property around 2:00 AM, overturning flower beds and repeatedly striking the windows.

Restaurant representatives suspect a neighbor, identified as Artem, is responsible for the damage. They claim he has a history of conflict with the establishment, complaining about the noise and odors emanating from the ventilation system.

According to restaurant representative Ilya Zatsepin, the ventilation system was installed according to technical specifications and sanitary standards. Despite this, the restaurant owners addressed the neighbor’s concerns by approving a new ventilation system project.

Zatsepin stated that the neighbor had previously threatened to close the restaurant, even filing a police report. Two other residents of the building reportedly threatened restaurant staff with further consequences in the days leading up to the incident.

A police report has been filed regarding the vandalism.
