A new Telegram bot called “Ural Tinder,” or Puzzle Dating, aims to match individuals based on shared values and life goals rather than just physical appearance. Created by entrepreneur Nikita Slovikovsky, the bot seeks to address the issue of mismatched preferences and values that often lead to relationship breakdowns.
The bot’s creator believes that couples often struggle because of differing values and preferences that emerge after the initial chemistry fades. He identified key areas of potential disagreement, including lifestyle, ideal living arrangements, family plans, health consciousness, social habits, career aspirations, personal space needs, the importance of intimacy, political views, and moral principles.
Puzzle Dating uses a questionnaire with 33 questions about values, habits, beliefs, and life goals to identify compatible partners. The bot only suggests matches between users who have answered similarly, increasing the likelihood of shared perspectives.
The service, which launched a month ago, has already facilitated 16,000 matches among its 1,100 users (795 women and 358 men). Nikita Silovikovsky is currently working on refining the bot based on user feedback, hoping to increase its popularity.
The launch of “Ural Tinder” comes after the international dating service Tinder left the Russian market in June 2023.
