An unauthorized individual attempted to take the Unified State Exam (ЕГЭ) in biology in Moscow, leading to a police investigation and potential serious consequences. The incident occurred on Thursday, June 5th, when a student presented a certificate of passport loss.
Upon further verification by the examination commission and the student’s school, it was discovered that the person taking the exam was not the registered student. Authorities suspect that the actual student sent a substitute to take the ЕГЭ in their place.
The individual in question was detained and taken to a police station for questioning to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident. Law enforcement agencies are currently conducting a thorough investigation.
Such violations of the ЕГЭ procedure carry significant repercussions. If it is confirmed that someone else took the exam, the results will be annulled by Rosobrnadzor. The participant involved in the violation may be suspended from future exams.
Furthermore, administrative penalties, including fines of up to 5,000 rubles, may be imposed for violating the exam procedure. In cases where forged documents, such as passports, are used, criminal charges may be filed under Article 327 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, potentially resulting in a prison sentence of up to three years. A retake of the exam will be required if the original results are annulled.
