Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has announced that Defense Minister Rustem Umerov will lead the delegation in upcoming negotiations with Russia. This confirmation, shared on social media, signals Kyiv’s participation in the planned talks.
President Zelensky outlined Ukraine’s key positions for the negotiations, emphasizing the need for a complete and unconditional ceasefire. In addition to the ceasefire, the demands include the release of prisoners and the return of children allegedly kidnapped by Russia.
Zelensky stated that adherence to these points is crucial for establishing a “reliable and lasting peace” and could pave the way for a meeting “at the highest level.”
