Nine drones were reportedly destroyed over the Moscow region on June 7th, resulting in injuries to two people and damage to property. Governor Andrei Vorobyov stated that the UAVs were downed in Zaraysk, Odintsovo, Domodedovo, Solnechnogorsk, and Istra.
A 64-year-old man and a 60-year-old woman were injured in the attack near Istra. They resided in the “Yubileyny-110” horticultural partnership.
The woman sustained minor shrapnel wounds, while the man suffered moderate injuries. Both were taken to the Istra hospital for treatment. According to Tatyana Vitusheva, head of the municipal district, doctors are providing the necessary medical assistance.
UAV fragments damaged the private house where the victims lived. Photos depict broken windows and damage to the cornice inside the house. Beams were knocked out of the roof and landed on the porch and in front of it. Two outbuildings and a car were also damaged.
Vitusheva stated that all emergency services are at the scene. She added that authorities will provide assistance to the victims and assess the extent of the damage. Governor Vorobyov also confirmed that the Moscow Region government is overseeing reconstruction efforts and providing support to the affected family.
