UAV Attack in Kursk Causes Damage to Buildings, No Casualties Reported

Kursk faced a UAV attack on June 2, resulting in damage to residential buildings and infrastructure. Acting Governor Alexander Khinshtein and acting head of Kursk Sergey Kotlyarov reported the incident on their respective channels, sharing images of the aftermath.

Preliminary reports indicate that falling debris from drones damaged three private houses, one apartment building, and a garage. The facade of the Kursk Dermatovenerologic Dispensary also sustained damage, including broken glazing.

No fatalities or injuries have been reported in connection with the attack.

Kotlyarov noted that several private houses, an apartment building, and cars on Kommunalnaya, Dimitrova, Svetlaya streets, and Svetly passage were affected by the drone strikes.

A house-to-house survey will be conducted to assess the extent of the damage. Following the assessment, repair and construction teams will be deployed to the affected areas.

Authorities have pledged to provide assistance to all victims.

The Ministry of Defense reported shooting down 57 drones in the Kursk region during the evening and early night, the highest number compared to other Russian regions.
