Two bodies were found in separate parks in Moscow on Monday, September 15, prompting investigations by the capital’s Investigative Committee.

The first body, a man with a stab wound, was discovered in Filevsky Park with a knife nearby. Investigators determined that the man had been stabbed in the neck by a friend on September 14 and left to die.

The suspect, a 31-year-old man, was quickly apprehended and confessed to the crime at the police station. A criminal case has been initiated under the charge of murder. Investigators and criminalists examined the scene, questioned witnesses, and charged the suspect. Authorities will soon determine the suspect’s measure of restraint, and the investigation will seek detention.

The second body, that of a girl, was found a few hours later in Bitsa Park. Investigative Committee specialists are currently at the scene, examining the circumstances surrounding her death.
