A truck became immobilized in Novosibirsk’s Rodniki neighborhood earlier today after one of its wheels plunged into an open manhole. The incident, which occurred near Tyulenina Street 23/1, has caused disruption for local residents.
The truck got stuck at approximately 9:15 AM. Attempts by the driver to free the vehicle were unsuccessful, prompting the arrival of a second truck to provide assistance.
According to Nikolai, a resident of the area, the truck drove on the sidewalk and fell through, which in turn blocked the resident’s exit.
The Novosibirsk City Hall has been contacted for comment regarding the incident. As of now, no official response has been issued.
This incident follows a similar event earlier in the week. A Geländewagen, belonging to businessman Vyacheslav Makhalov, fell through the pavement near the “Syrovarnya” restaurant in central Novosibirsk.
