Manezhnaya Square in the heart of Moscow has been transformed into a tropical oasis featuring palm trees and a decorative pond. This installation is part of the “Gardens and Flowers” festival, with the square near the Historical Museum serving as one of the festival’s main locations.
The festival, which will run until September 7, began earlier than usual this year, starting at the end of April. Over 70 similar locations will be established throughout Moscow as part of the event.
The transformed Manezhnaya Square has quickly become a popular attraction for both Moscow residents and visitors, featuring a decorative waterfall. According to the project website, the festival will also include “blooming” bridges, vertical green walls, picturesque alleys, and water gardens, each presenting a unique vision from leading Russian landscape designers and architects.
Near Red Square, a large orangery has been set up.
