The collapse, which occurred the previous night, caused train carriages to derail, resulting in fatalities and numerous injuries. According to regional Governor Alexander Bogomaz, seven people died in the incident, including the train driver and two children.
Over one hundred people were injured in the collapse. Bogomaz stated that of the 104 injured, three are in serious condition, while the rest sustained moderate or mild injuries.
Families of the deceased will receive 1.5 million rubles in compensation. Injured individuals will receive 300,000 or 600,000 rubles depending on the severity of their injuries, according to Governor Bogomaz.
22 injured individuals have been transferred to hospitals in Moscow for treatment. 38 people remain in medical facilities in the Bryansk region.
The restoration work was carried out by employees of the Moscow Railway. They removed the damaged locomotive and carriages, cleared debris from the tracks, and repaired the railway.
