Train traffic has been suspended on a section of railway tracks in the Voronezh region following reported damage to the line. The incident occurred on the Evdakovo-Saguny stretch, specifically at the 725th kilometer.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the damage, with emergency services and a recovery team from the South-Eastern Railway (YuVZhD) dispatched to the scene. According to preliminary information, a bombing may have caused the disruption.
The driver of one of the stopped trains initially noticed the minor track damage. No casualties or derailments have been reported.
The incident in the Voronezh region follows similar events in the Bryansk and Kursk regions. In Bryansk, an earlier emergency situation resulted in 119 casualties, including five children. A separate bombing in the Kursk region on June 1 led to injuries to a train driver.
The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation has initiated criminal cases under terrorism statutes in response to these incidents.
