Significant traffic restrictions will be in place in St. Petersburg from June 13 to June 22 due to the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, which takes place from June 18 to 21. The city’s transport committee has announced road closures, narrowing of roadways, and parking bans affecting various streets.
Several streets near the forum venue will be closed entirely from June 13 to June 22. These include Startovaya Street (from Bykovskaya to Vnukovskaya), Domodedovskaya Street (from Pilotov to Vnukovskaya), and Vnukovskaya Street (from house 2 to Domodedovskaya).
Starting June 16, a number of key routes will experience narrowed roadways until June 22. These include the road to the airport, Kievskoe highway at the Volkhonskoe highway intersection, St. Petersburg highway at the Vitebsk avenue intersection, and Ust-Slavyanskoe highway near the exit to Volkhonskoe highway. Also affected are sections of Voznesensky Prospekt, Marata Street, Mikhailovskaya Street, Moika embankment (both even and odd sides), 6th Soviet Street, Stremyannaya Street, Antonenko Lane, Malaya Morskaya Street, Pochtamskaya Street, Italian Street, Vladimirsky Prospekt, Isaakievskaya Square, Tchaikovsky Street, Rimsky-Korsakov Avenue, Nikolsky Lane, Kryukov Canal embankment, Goncharnaya Street, Ligovsky Prospekt, Maly Prospekt V.O., Galernaya Street, Trezini Square, and the 4th-5th lines of V.O.
From June 18 to June 21, trucks heavier than 3.5 tons will be prohibited on specific sections of Pulkovskoe Highway, St. Petersburg Highway, and Vitebsk Avenue. This restriction also applies to the Ring Road between the interchanges with Sofiyskaya Street and Ropshinskoe Highway, and rest areas will be closed in this area.
A ban on stopping vehicles will be in effect on several streets during specific periods. From June 13 to June 22, this applies to Pilotov Street, Startovaya Street, Domodedovskaya Street, and Vnukovskaya Street. Admiralteysky Prospekt will have a stopping ban from June 17 to June 22. Shorter stopping bans will be implemented on Naberezhnaya Krestovki (June 18), Zanevsky Prospekt (June 18), and various central streets, including St. Petersburg Highway and Ust-Slavyanskoe Highway (June 16-22). Additionally, parking will be prohibited on Kozhevennaya Line on June 19.
