St. Petersburg will experience traffic disruptions in the city center due to the All-Russian athletics race “Fight and Win,” with restrictions lasting until the end of the working week. The State Institution “Organizer of Transportation” announced the changes, which are linked to a sports event within the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) framework.
Several public transport routes will be affected during the event. Bus route No. 2 will be altered from midnight on June 17 to 5:00 AM on June 19, and again from 7:00 AM on June 19 to 7:00 AM on June 20.
Specific bus routes including Nos. 2, 3, 7, 10, 22, 24, 27, 70, 71, and 191, along with trolleybus routes Nos. 1, 5, 7, 10, 11, 17, and 22, will experience changes between 5:00 AM and 7:00 AM on June 19.
Traffic will be blocked until 7:00 AM on June 20 on Admiralteysky Prospekt in the direction from Senate Square to Voznesensky Prospekt and from Palace Passage to St. Isaac’s Square. St. Isaac’s Square will also be closed from Admiralteysky Prospekt to Malaya Morskaya Street during this period.
In addition to the race, the “SUP-breakfast” event will introduce parking restrictions from June 19 to 21. The Western High-Speed Diameter (WHSD) may also experience significant traffic congestion and temporary closures.
