Traffic on Dimitrovsky Bridge to be Reconfigured for Repairs

Starting tonight, June 7th, the far right lane of the Dimitrovsky Bridge heading towards the left bank will be closed for repairs. Reversible traffic will be implemented on the bridge beginning June 9th, according to the Mayor’s Office.

The changes are being made to facilitate a major overhaul of the bridge, which is scheduled to last until June 1, 2027. The project involves replacing the deck, waterproofing, repairing expansion joints, and fixing the railings.

From Monday, June 9th, reversible traffic will be in operation, reducing the number of lanes from six to five. This will specifically affect the lanes running from the right bank to the left bank.

The central lane will become variable, switching direction based on the time of day:

  • From 11:00 PM to 3:00 PM – traffic will flow towards the right bank.
  • From 3:01 PM to 10:59 PM – traffic will flow towards the left bank.

Avtodorremont Tekhnо company specialists are currently installing the necessary technical equipment for traffic management, including concrete barriers, delineators, and reversible traffic lights. Signage has been erected, and road markings have been applied.

The Mayor’s Office is advising drivers to anticipate potential congestion and consider alternative routes. Asphalt replacement began on May 30th to ensure smooth passage during repairs. Dismantling of the asphalt on the right sidewalk towards the left bank started on May 18th.

Avtodorremont Tekhnо LLC, established in 2006 with Ilya Nikitin as founder and director, reported a revenue of 1.2 billion rubles and a net profit of 172.8 million rubles at the end of 2024. The bridge repair project will involve at least 30 workers and specialized equipment. The initial date for the lane closure was previously reported as June 10th.
