Traffic Jams Occur at the Entrance to Novosibirsk

Severe traffic congestion has gripped Novosibirsk, particularly at the entrance to the city, causing significant delays for commuters. The most impacted area is Gusinobrodskoye Highway, where traffic jams stretch for over 9 kilometers, according to 2GIS data.

While reversible traffic flow has been implemented on the bridge, users report that congestion persists even after repair work was completed. The right bank of the city is experiencing heavier traffic compared to the left bank. On Gusinobrodskoye Highway specifically, the traffic jam spans approximately 2.5 kilometers.

Additional areas experiencing significant delays include Kamenskoye Highway and Dzerzhinsky Avenue, where traffic jams exceed two kilometers. The increased traffic volume is attributed, in part, to residents returning from their dachas due to unfavorable weather conditions.

On the eastern side, congestion has formed on Taiginskaya Street, heading towards the city center. Furthermore, an accident on Kolyvan Highway on the left bank has exacerbated the situation, further slowing down the journey home for many drivers.

Earlier in the week, on Friday, June 6th, Sibiryakov-Gvardeytsev Street experienced a traffic jam of around three kilometers due to ongoing repair work that reduced the road to a single lane at the intersection with Nemirovich-Danchenko Street.
