A significant traffic jam, stretching nearly 8 kilometers, formed on the Northern Bypass highway in the Novosibirsk region on the evening of June 3rd. According to multiple sources, the congestion affected traffic in both directions near the Kolyvan highway.

Users of online mapping services reported difficult traffic conditions and the presence of red-colored roads indicating heavy congestion. An accident is suspected to be the cause of the traffic jam, according to eyewitness accounts and reports from traffic monitoring services.

The incident compounded already challenging traffic conditions in Novosibirsk, which were estimated at 6 points. Other areas experiencing congestion included Fabrichnaya, Stantsionnaya, Zhukovsky streets, and Krasny Prospekt. The day prior, a collision between a tram and a bus had also caused traffic disruptions in the city.
