St. Petersburg will experience significant traffic disruptions from June 11 to June 16 due to the “St. Petersburg. Ekiden. 42.195/6” athletics competition. The Transport Committee has announced a series of restrictions and closures affecting key areas of the city.

The initial phase of restrictions begins on June 11 and lasts until June 16. During this period, the roadway of Isaakievskaya Square will be narrowed around the monument to Nicholas I, specifically between Isaakievsky Square, buildings 42 and 44 on Bolshaya Morskaya Street, and building 6 on Isaakievskaya Square. Additionally, traffic will be blocked on the odd side of the Moika embankment along the Blue Bridge throughout this period.

June 15 will see the most extensive closures. From 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, the roadway of Blagoveshchensky Bridge will be narrowed in the direction of Lieutenant Schmidt Embankment and on Trezzini Square.

The following areas will be completely closed from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM on June 15: Kadetskaya and 1st Line V.O. (from building 18/2 to Universitetskaya Embankment), Universitetskaya Embankment (from 2nd-3rd Lines V.O. to Birzhevaya Square and in the direction from Blagoveshchensky Bridge to 2nd-3rd Lines V.O.), Birzhevaya Square (in the direction from Birzhevoy Proezd to Universitetskaya Embankment), Birzhevoy Proezd (along building 4 in the direction of Birzhevaya Square), Dvortsovy Bridge (in the direction of Dvortsovy Proezd), Dvortsovy Proezd (in the direction from Dvortsovy Bridge to Admiralteysky Prospekt), Admiralteyskaya Embankment, Admiralteysky Proezd, Chernomorsky Lane, Azovsky Lane, Kerchensky Lane, Admiralteysky Prospekt (in the direction from Nevsky Prospekt to Senate Square), Senate Square, Isaakievskaya Square (along buildings 1-11), Pochtamsky Lane (in the direction from Pochtamskaya Street to Yakubovich Street), and English Embankment (from Admiralteyskaya Embankment to Truda Square).

Furthermore, stopping transport will be prohibited from 0:00 to 23:59 on June 15 on Kadetskaya and 1st Line V.O. (from building 18/2 to Universitetskaya Embankment), Universitetskaya Embankment, Birzhevaya Square (along building 1-3 on Universitetskaya Embankment), Dvortsovy Proezd, Admiralteyskaya Embankment, Admiralteysky Prospekt (in the direction from Nevsky Prospekt to Senate Square), Senate Square, Isaakievskaya Square (between building 4 on Isaakievskaya and building 1 on Voznesensky Prospekt), and English Embankment (from Admiralteyskaya Embankment to Truda Square). Parking will also be prohibited in Chernomorsky, Azovsky, and Kerchensky Lanes during the same period.

Earlier, on June 14, the even side of the Moika embankment from Voznesensky Prospekt to Antonenko Lane will be closed to traffic (except for route vehicles) from 0:00 to 23:59.

From June 11 to June 15, stopping transport will be prohibited on Isaakievskaya Square, the Moika embankment along the Blue Bridge, and Bolshaya Morskaya Street along Isaakievsky Square.
