A multi-vehicle collision on the Moscow Ring Road (MKAD) on August 1st has resulted in casualties. The accident occurred on the 24th kilometer of the MKAD in Moscow.

The Moscow prosecutor’s office confirmed the incident and reported that there are casualties, though the exact number of injured or deceased is currently unspecified.

Preliminary reports indicate that a truck collided with multiple vehicles. Surveillance footage shows a semi-trailer truck initially colliding with a heavy truck, after which both vehicles crashed into other trucks that were stopped in a traffic jam, and impacting passenger cars.
