A traffic accident near Novosibirsk on June 7th left private homes in two settlements without electricity. The incident occurred when an unidentified vehicle struck a power line support, according to the Telegram channel “Rosseti Novosibirsk.”

The collision caused the concrete structure of the support to collapse, resulting in broken wires and torn insulators. Approximately 30 transformer substations and private houses in the settlements of Stepnoy and Lucky Park in the Novosibirsk region were affected.

Power engineers have been dispatched to the scene with special equipment to address the situation. Efforts are underway to connect consumers via backup power as quickly as possible, with a target restoration time of 9:00 PM.

Following the restoration of power, specialists will commence repair work, which includes replacing the damaged support and repairing the wires.

In February, a similar incident occurred in Novosibirsk, where over 400 homes were left without power due to an emergency shutdown caused by a damaged cable power line.
