Police are searching for the driver of a Toyota Land Cruiser who allegedly struck a woman on a Novosibirsk beach and fled the scene on June 14. The individual is also accused of reckless behavior in a separate incident that same day.

According to a witness, the same vehicle and driver were seen later that day in the Sovetsky district. The driver was reportedly part of a group, some of whom appeared heavily intoxicated.

The witness stated that the group drove the SUV onto the beach, close to the water and other beachgoers. The company allegedly boasted about having already run over someone who was taken away by ambulance.

The witness further claims the driver urinated on the beach near the car, responding to complaints by saying, “This is my car, I’m near it.” A physical altercation reportedly occurred between the driver and another beachgoer, after which the driver allegedly threatened to return and harm everyone before leaving.

The witness contacted the traffic police after seeing news reports about the hit-and-run on Zayeltsovsky Beach and suspecting the same driver was involved. The incident on Zayeltsovsky Beach occurred around 10:15 AM on June 14, when a woman sunbathing was struck by an SUV. The driver immediately left the scene.

Authorities urge anyone with information about the driver or the vehicle to contact them.
