A Toyota Camry crashed into the “Roman Fountain” in Stupino, Moscow Region, resulting in damage to the fountain. The incident occurred on Prospekt Pobedy.
According to initial reports, the driver lost control of the vehicle. Authorities from the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Moscow Region stated that there were no casualties as a result of the crash.
Eyewitness accounts suggest the car was traveling at high speed before the accident. The vehicle reportedly became airborne after hitting a curb before colliding with a statue within the fountain. Unconfirmed reports indicate the driver may have been intoxicated.
The “Roman Fountain” was already slated for relocation to a nearby park. A tow truck has arrived to remove the vehicle. Local residents have gathered at the scene.
Prior to this incident, another accident in the Moscow region involved a drunk driver who overturned into a ditch, resulting in the deaths of two 13-year-old girls. In a separate event, a dump truck overturned in southern Moscow, causing significant traffic congestion.
