A three-car accident in St. Petersburg’s Primorsky district on Wednesday evening resulted in one driver being hospitalized. The incident occurred at 5:15 PM, according to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for the city and region.

Preliminary investigations indicate that a 24-year-old Volkswagen driver, while turning left from Staroderevenskaya Street onto Sitsevaya Street, collided with an oncoming Skoda.

The impact caused the Skoda to then collide with a passing Bildzhi vehicle.

The Volkswagen driver sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
