The Russian Museum Celebrates Summer Garden Day

Saint Petersburg’s Russian Museum is hosting the Summer Garden Day celebration on June 7-8, offering a two-day marathon of over 100 events. Day tickets are valid from 12:00 to 21:00, providing access to a diverse program.

On June 7, the main stage will feature performances by the Demmeni Puppet Theater, the Olympic Orchestra, and the “Terem-Quartet.” The first day will conclude with a performance by Tatyana Bulanova and the “Summer Garden” group.

The main alley will be alive with concerts and promenade performances, showcasing the “Leningrad Fanfares” brass band, the Drum Time drum show, the Olympic Brass ensemble, NON STOP, “Petit Trianon,” and TEATRO BAMBOLA theaters.

An interactive installation utilizing artificial intelligence will be available, allowing visitors to engage in simulated conversations with Pushkin and Tchaikovsky. Additionally, master classes and tours of the Summer Garden, focusing on the era of Peter the Great, will be offered.

June 8 will bring performances by the “Aurora” brass band, the So-Tvorenie theater, the “Heavenly Carousel” theater, the “Mimigrants” theater, and the “Northern Tale” ballet on the main alley. The main stage will host concerts by Oleg Weinstein, the IP Orchestra, and the “Khoronko-Orchestra,” among others.

For those seeking to expand their knowledge, master classes on “Restoration and Copying of Sculptures of the Summer Garden” and overview tours exploring the archeology and water features of the garden will be available. Guests can also participate in creating polychrome paintings on plaster casts of griffins, personalize white raincoats as souvenirs, and craft collages inspired by Russia’s first equestrian monument.
