The Introduction of Robots in Various Fields

Artificial intelligence is poised to significantly alter the Russian labor market, with potential for automation impacting a substantial portion of the workforce. According to HeadHunter CEO Dmitry Sergienkov, up to 40% of the working population is engaged in activities that AI could automate. This shift could lead to both increased efficiency and challenges in information reliability.

In Blagoveshchensk, an AI legal advisor has already been implemented, reportedly working 48 times faster than a human and significantly reducing complaint processing times. This marks a potentially groundbreaking application of AI within the Russian government.

However, experts believe a complete takeover by robots is unlikely. Anatoly Baranov from the “New Labor” trade union questions the value of automating already meaningless tasks. He suggests that the focus should be on distinguishing between routine work suitable for AI and tasks requiring human creativity.

Alexey Zakharov of SuperJob emphasizes that the integration of AI will be a gradual process spanning decades, allowing people to adapt and acquire new skills. Sectors with high-risk implications, such as medicine and transportation, will see slower AI adoption due to stringent regulations and safety concerns. The labor market is expected to adapt gradually, with workers transitioning to new roles in the service sector or learning to collaborate with AI systems.
