The International SUP Surfing Festival “Fontanka SUP” Celebrates its 10th Anniversary

St. Petersburg is gearing up for its most SUP-filled month in August, highlighted by the 10th-anniversary celebration of the international “Fontanka SUP” festival. The festivities include two major events: “Fontanka SUP” on August 2, taking place along the rivers and canals of the city center, and “Pirate Harbor” on August 23, set to conquer Vyborg.

Registration for both “Fontanka SUP” and “Pirate Harbor” opens on June 16 on the official event website. Due to limited spaces, interested participants are encouraged to register promptly. Only SUP surfers aged 18 and older are eligible to participate in the festivals.

Both festivals promise to be vibrant carnival processions, with awards given for the most creative and colorful costumes. Highlights include the selection of Miss SUP, as well as the king and queen of “Pirate Harbor,” along with numerous other prizes. Those considering participation still have time to learn SUP boarding and prepare their costumes.

The “Fontanka SUP” festival is supported by a number of partners, including General Partner Cooper, Title Partner Gazprom Neft, Strategic Partner Alfa-Bank, Official Partner VICTORIA STENOVA, Official Team Partner Setl Group Holding, and Official Partner DIXY Retail Chain.

Supported by the city portal “Fontanka.ru,” the international SUP surfing festival “Fontanka SUP” has become a St. Petersburg tradition. In 2022, the festival was recognized as the largest SUP surfing festival in Europe by the Book of Records of Event Tourism in Russia, boasting over 6,500 participants. In 2023 and 2024, the number of registered participants reached 10,000.
