The Film “Neurobatya” Premiered at the Trans-Baikal International Film Festival

Chita residents were the first to view the new Russian comedy “Neurobatya” (16+), directed by Vitaly Dudka, which premiered at the XII Trans-Baikal International Film Festival (ZMKF). The official trailer and poster are now available online.

The film is scheduled for wider release in September.

“Neurobatya” is described as a daring comedy with sci-fi elements, focusing on the generational conflict between children tired of old rules and fathers stuck in the past. A key element of the film is the transfer of consciousness to various gadgets, including a specially designed animatronic robot rooster.

The story revolves around Grisha, a neurotic IT specialist who invents a neural network capable of transferring a person’s consciousness into “smart” devices. He is forced to test the invention on his own father, Bes, a criminal gang leader, who ends up moving from gadget to gadget. Their experiences lead them on an adventure that forces them to re-evaluate their relationship.

The cast includes Denis Vlasenko, Valentina Lyapina, Nastasya Samburskaya, Vitaly Khaev, Askar Nigamedzyanov, Alexander Oblasov, Sergey Chikhachev, bloggers Wylsacom and Danya Kraster, and figure skaters Ignatova Alexandra and Makar, among others.

Vlasenko emphasized the film’s relevance, stating that despite the seemingly fantastical premise, the story is about the value of real connection between people in a world increasingly mediated by technology.

The presentation of “Neurobatya” took place on June 8 at the Udokan cinema and garnered public interest, with its mix of action, road movie elements, and a touching family story.

The XII Trans-Baikal Film Festival was supported by Bystrinsky GOK, Highland Gold group of companies, and Udokanskaya Med.
