The Conflict Between Zhanna Friske’s Relatives After Her Death

The family of the late singer Zhanna Friske remains embroiled in a bitter conflict years after her death in 2015. Disputes over finances, Zhanna’s son Platon, and lingering resentments have fueled a deep divide between her common-law husband, Dmitry Shepelev, and her parents.

The primary point of contention revolves around Platon, Zhanna’s son with Dmitry Shepelev. Zhanna’s parents have accused Shepelev of restricting their access to their grandson. According to them, despite court-ordered visitation rights, Shepelev allegedly created obstacles and limited their opportunities to see Platon. Shepelev, however, maintains that his actions stem from a desire to protect his son, alleging that Zhanna’s parents sought to take Platon away from him. He has accused Zhanna’s father of aggressive behavior during one encounter.

The conflict extends beyond Platon, encompassing accusations of financial impropriety. Following Zhanna’s death, a scandal erupted regarding funds donated for her cancer treatment. Her parents suspected Shepelev of misappropriating the money, while he denied the accusations and pointed fingers at them. It was later revealed that Zhanna’s mother had withdrawn the funds during her lifetime. The court divided the remaining debt among the heirs, including Platon.

Zhanna’s father, Vladimir Friske, harbors deep resentment towards Shepelev. He believes Shepelev exploited Zhanna’s name, money, and property, accusing him of using her funds to build a house and selling Zhanna’s share of an apartment that was intended for their son. He also claims that Shepelev disposed of Zhanna’s belongings and jewelry that should have remained with the family. He accuses Shepelev of preventing Zhanna from spending her final days with her loved ones.

Zhanna’s mother, Olga Kopylova, expressed remorse over the financial scandal and worries about her husband’s ongoing legal battles. She longs to see her grandson, Platon, and laments the limited contact she has with him. Zhanna’s sister, Natalya Friske, shares the family’s grief and expresses her deep sorrow over the loss of her sister and the inability to see her nephew.

Despite the years that have passed, the pain and resentment surrounding Zhanna Friske’s death continue to fuel the conflict between her loved ones. While Zhanna’s parents find solace in their granddaughter Luna, the divide remains a constant source of heartache for the family.
