In New Moscow, a sixth-grade student was shot with an air gun by older teenagers, resulting in injuries that required surgery. The incident occurred on Monday, June 2nd, and is currently under investigation by authorities.

According to the victim’s mother, the shooting occurred during an encounter between her son and a group of older students from the same school, who were in the eighth and tenth grades. The teenagers allegedly shot the boy after telling him “this is a meeting,” and lifting his T-shirt to reveal the weapon.

The mother reported that her son sustained multiple wounds, including one to the neck that affected an artery. She also stated that the boy suffered psychological trauma and is now working with a psychologist.

Law enforcement officials have identified all individuals involved in the incident and are conducting an investigation to determine the specific details. The air gun used in the shooting has not yet been recovered, as the shooters allegedly disposed of it.

A lawyer has stated that the shooters could face serious consequences. Depending on the charges, they could face imprisonment for attempted murder or hooliganism.
