The swimming season has officially begun on Novosibirsk’s municipal beaches, with five locations cleared for public use after undergoing thorough sanitary and epidemiological inspections. The announcement was made by the mayor’s press center on Wednesday.
Among the open beaches are those located in the popular “U morya Obskogo” and “Bugrinskaya Roshcha” city parks, where swimming is now permitted.
In “U morya Obskogo” park, there are four distinct recreation areas available: the “Detsky” beach, stretching 190 meters with a 10,000 square meter swimming zone; the “Galechny” beach, 200 meters long, also offering a 10,000 square meter swimming area and featuring “Festival glades”; the “U morya Obskogo” beach, 170 meters in length with an 8,400 square meter swimming zone; and the “Boomerang” beach, 150 meters long with a 5,000 square meter swimming zone, which also houses a sailing school and bathhouses.
“Bugrinskaya Roshcha” park features one designated recreation area: a 150-meter beach on the Ob River in the Kirovsky district, providing a 7,000 square meter swimming zone capable of accommodating up to 1,000 visitors.
All beaches are equipped with amenities such as changing rooms, showers with sinks, toilets, umbrellas, garbage cans, and food vendors. Furthermore, rescue and medical posts are operational at each location to ensure the safety and well-being of beachgoers.
