Sverdlovsk Resident Faces Charges After Disabled Woman’s Death

A woman in the Sverdlovsk region of Russia is facing criminal charges after a disabled woman, who was subjected to horrific abuse, was found dead. The Investigative Committee has commented on the case, revealing details of the disturbing events that preceded the woman’s death.

Natalia, a resident of Karpinsk, allegedly attacked 24-year-old Anastasia Polyakova in May. The assault involved beating the victim, sitting naked on her face, and urinating on her while holding her down. The entire incident was filmed.

Authorities state that Anastasia Polyakova subsequently committed suicide. Following her death, law enforcement opened three criminal cases related to the abuse.

The Investigative Committee requested that Natalia be taken into custody, but the Karpinsk court denied the request and placed her under house arrest instead.

Alexander Bastrykin, head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, has ordered a report on the investigation’s progress. The deceased, Anastasia, was buried on June 3rd in Karpinsk. Friends described her as kind, vulnerable, and harmless, noting that she had lost her mother and had no support from other relatives.

Natalia is accused of lewd acts and could face mandatory labor or imprisonment for up to three years. The abuse was filmed, and the video showed the victim pleading for help while her abusers laughed.
