Over 100 graduates in the Sverdlovsk Region have achieved the maximum score of 100 on the Unified State Exam (EGE) in subjects including chemistry, literature, history, and mathematics. Furthermore, 914 students scored 81 points or higher in specialized mathematics, demonstrating strong performance across the region.
The government of the Sverdlovsk Region has specifically acknowledged the outstanding achievements of schools in Yekaterinburg, where many students attained top scores.
Gymnasium No. 9 in Yekaterinburg stood out with 12 students scoring 100 points, followed by the Specialized Educational and Scientific Center of Ural Federal University (SUNTS UrFU) with nine students. High-achieving students also came from other territories, including Nizhny Tagil, Kamensk-Uralsky, Pervouralsk, Asbest, Novouralsky Urban District, Sukhoi Log, Krasnoturyinsk, Nevyansk, and Nizhnyaya Salda.
Among those who excelled in specialized mathematics was Ekaterina Tkachik from Gymnasium No. 9 in Yekaterinburg. Ekaterina prepared for the exam independently, relying on her school’s resources without the assistance of private tutors.
Ekaterina shared her surprise and joy at achieving such a high score, stating, “I prepared for the exam at school and on my own, without involving tutors. I didn’t expect such high results. And when I found out that I had scored 100 points, I was very happy. I plan to connect my life with physics and computer science.”
This year’s results also show a significant increase in high scores in chemistry, with over 480 graduates scoring above 81 points, a 13% increase compared to the previous year. Additionally, 229 students passed history with high scores, and 238 students achieved similar success in literature.
The main period of the EGE is scheduled to conclude on June 23. Reserve days from June 16 to 23 are available for students who were unable to take the exams on the main days due to valid reasons such as illness or participation in events. These reserve days also accommodate students with scheduling conflicts and graduates from previous years.
