Yekaterinburg residents can anticipate the return of warmer weather by the weekend, as the rains are expected to cease. Forecasters predict temperatures could reach as high as +28 degrees Celsius in certain areas of the region as early as August 1.
An anticyclone is expected to move toward the Urals from the north of the European part of the country on Thursday. Its influence will be more noticeable in the afternoon and evening. Until then, the cyclone, which is gradually moving eastward, will keep chances of rain overnight and in the morning throughout the region, except possibly in the northernmost areas.
Cold air from the Kara Sea will start moving towards Western Siberia along the eastern edge of the anticyclone on Friday. The Sverdlovsk region is expected to remain unaffected by this cold snap. The anticyclone over the region will lead to less cloud cover and a considerable increase in daytime temperatures.
