Summer at the Factory Creative Cluster Opens in Sysert

The “Summer at the Factory” creative cluster in Sysert has officially opened its doors for the season, offering a blend of cultural experiences and relaxation. Located on the grounds of a former factory, the cluster features new attractions and activities for visitors of all ages.

The cluster has introduced an entrance fee of 250 rubles (100 rubles for concessions) for the first time this year. Ilya Orlov-Bunin, co-founder of the cluster, explained that the fee is necessary for the upkeep and maintenance of the factory grounds.

Among the new additions is an installation at the entrance of one of the workshops, designed to immerse visitors in the sounds of the factory. This space also offers a cool, dark refuge from the summer heat and will host movie screenings. Another new feature is the “Garden of Dreams,” where visitors can write their dreams on postcards and hang them on a tree.

The “Summer at the Factory” festival is scheduled to take place in August. Throughout the summer, the cluster will host various master classes, art therapy sessions, and fairs. Visitors can also enjoy the signature “Factory Cider” and other snacks.

Feedback on the entrance fee has been mixed. Some visitors expressed support for the fee, citing the atmosphere, live music, and master classes as worth the cost. They also noted that the fee helps filter out disruptive individuals. Others felt that the fee was not justified, particularly if they had visited in previous years and found little new to experience. Some suggested that the entrance should be free, similar to a park, where people can relax and socialize.
