St. Petersburg Weather Forecast for the First Weekend of August

St. Petersburg is bracing for a warm first weekend in August, with temperatures expected to reach up to +28 degrees Celsius before cooling down next week. According to city weatherman Alexander Kolesov, some areas may experience rain and thunderstorms on Saturday.

The high temperatures will persist for the first few days of the week. Monday and Tuesday are forecast to see temperatures ranging from +25 to +30 degrees Celsius.

Kolesov anticipates a shift in the weather pattern from midweek. He predicts cooler temperatures accompanied by brief periods of rain and thunderstorms. Daytime temperatures are expected to settle between +20 and +25 degrees Celsius.

The weekend also marks the 10th Fontanka SUP festival in St. Petersburg. Over 10,000 SUP surfers are expected to participate in a parade along the city’s rivers on August 2nd. Water temperatures are currently around +24 degrees Celsius in the Neva River and +23 to +25 degrees Celsius in the Gulf.
