St. Petersburg Vodokanal to Complete Network Project Early in Krasnogvardeysky District

St. Petersburg’s Vodokanal is accelerating its infrastructure project in the Krasnogvardeysky district, aiming to finish the work a year ahead of schedule. The project involves reconstructing a major water pipeline, which will benefit a significant portion of the district’s population.

The reconstruction focuses on the section of Zanevsky Prospekt between Kosygin Prospekt and the Okkerville River. This involves replacing nearly 2 kilometers of pipes ranging in diameter from 280 to 1000 mm. As of May 30, over 1200 meters of the new pipeline have already been installed.

The new pipelines are constructed from durable materials, including high-strength ductile iron and polyethylene, ensuring a service life of up to 100 years.

Upon completion, the upgraded water infrastructure will serve approximately 200,000 residents in the Krasnogvardeysky district. Furthermore, the enhanced water supply will extend to 64 kindergartens, 35 schools, and 10 medical institutions in the area.

Originally slated for completion by the end of 2026, Vodokanal is now striving to conclude the reconstruction by the end of 2025, emphasizing the project’s importance and the dedication of its specialists.
