A 15-year-old girl is in intensive care after being hit by a car in St. Petersburg. The incident occurred at the intersection of the Fontanka embankment and Angliysky Prospekt.

The accident took place shortly after 9:00 AM. A Volkswagen, driven by a woman, reportedly failed to yield to the teenager while she was crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing.

The victim, a resident of the Admiralteysky district, sustained serious injuries. Doctors diagnosed her with a closed head injury, brain contusion, lung contusion, and a fracture of the occipital bone.
