St. Petersburg Seeks Contractor to Improve Bolshaya Nevka Embankment

A contractor is being sought to continue improvements on a section of the Bolshaya Nevka embankment in St. Petersburg for 63 million rubles. The project, which aims to enhance the area with recreation spaces and lighting, is slated for completion by September 1, 2025.

The improvements will take place along residential complexes, a yacht club, and a stadium. The area extends from the Third Yelagin Bridge to the Park of the 300th Anniversary of St. Petersburg.

The tender for the work was announced on May 30 by the administration of the Primorsky district. The project includes installing new lighting, benches, chairs, garbage bins, bicycle parking, and decorative logs.

Various surface coatings will be used for pedestrian areas, including rammed surface, tiles, decking, stone, cobblestone pavement, and asphalt. While some plants will be removed, the project also includes planting new trees and shrubs, and laying new lawn.

The overall improvement plan involves installing modern sports and playgrounds and arranging a beach. A three-year warranty will be provided for the completed work.

The design and estimate documentation for this section was developed in 2020 for 4.2 million rubles. In 2024, two tenders were already held for improvements to this embankment, totaling 69.21 million rubles.

Nearby landmarks include the Datsan Gunzechoyney, the Primorets stadium, and the Petrovsky Yacht Club.
