A 14-year-old boy is in intensive care in St. Petersburg after suffering severe injuries from an electric shock. The incident occurred on the evening of May 31 in the village of Losevo, Priozersk district of the Leningrad region.
The boy, a resident of the Priozersk district, was found on the tracks near the Losevo railway station after reportedly grabbing a high-voltage wire while sitting on a bridge. He was initially hospitalized in Priozersk before being transferred to Children’s Hospital No. 1 in St. Petersburg.
Doctors have diagnosed the teenager with burns to his hands and thigh, cardiac arrhythmia, fractured ribs, and numerous bruises. He remains under close observation in the intensive care unit.
The Investigative Committee is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
