The St. Petersburg government has approved the planning project for the future “St. Petersburg Marina” tourist and recreational cluster in Gorskaya. This decision was announced following a meeting between the governor and city government members on June 2nd.
Two orders have been issued to prepare planning projects for the resort area, focusing on the road network. The project envisions the creation of a year-round cluster in Gorskaya, and an agreement of intent was signed in 2024 by the city, “Corporation Tourism.RF,” Gazprombank, and the “Yacht Club of St. Petersburg,” associated with Gazprom.
The overall cost of the project is estimated at 250 billion rubles, with approximately 89.7 billion rubles allocated for supporting infrastructure. The “St. Petersburg Marina” will feature hotels, public spaces, a yacht club, a waterfront, park areas, and a public and business zone.
The initial phase, slated for completion in 2026, will include the construction of a yachting school and a yacht club. The second phase, tentatively scheduled for completion by 2030, will focus on the development of public spaces, such as embankments and a park area along the Gulf of Finland. Earlier proposals included allowing buildings up to 100 meters, and in some cases up to 140 meters, high on the marina’s territory. Furthermore, plans involve creating an artificial lake with lighthouses in Gorskaya.
