St. Petersburg authorities have given the green light to the planning project for two new streets, Ivana Kulikova Street and Novosergievskaya Street, as announced on June 16. The initiative aims to improve connectivity and accessibility for residents in the region.
Ivana Kulikova Street will stretch from Budyonny Avenue, spanning the Krasnoselsky and Petrodvortsovy districts, to Novosergievskaya Street. This new route is expected to provide a more direct path for commuters.
Novosergievskaya Street will link Ivana Kulikova Street to Narodnogo Opolcheniya Avenue, serving both the Kirovsky and Krasnoselsky districts. This connection will further enhance the transportation network in the area.
The construction of these streets is anticipated to significantly benefit residents of newly developed residential areas, offering them quicker access to the Petrodvortsovy and Krasnoselsky districts.
Ivana Kulikova Street is named in remembrance of Ivana Kulikova, a hero of the Great Patriotic War and a participant in the defense of Leningrad. This dedication honors his contributions and sacrifices.
Novosergievskaya Street derives its name from its location along the periphery of the historical Sergievo district. The name reflects the street’s geographical context and its connection to the area’s heritage.
