St. Petersburg is bracing for worsening weather conditions, including fog that will reduce visibility. The operational headquarters of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Northern Capital issued the warning on the evening of May 30.

The Federal State Budgetary Institution “North-Western UGMS” predicts fog in some areas of St. Petersburg, with visibility potentially dropping to 500 meters or less.

Readers of “Fontanka” have reported that fog has already begun to appear in certain parts of the city, with some areas experiencing a dense haze.

Pedestrians are advised to exercise extreme caution when crossing streets and roads.

Drivers are urged to maintain a safe following distance and avoid unnecessary lane changes, overtaking, and passing.
